Joy, a resilient 6-year-old, faces challenges with chronic respiratory failure, Hypoxia, and Wolf-Parkinson-White Syndrome. Her family dreams of providing her with a nurturing space that not only accommodates her current needs but also evolves with her as she grows. They seek a solution that enables Joy to actively participate in family activities and engagements with ease, fostering moments of joy and togetherness.
We're embarking on a transformative journey to create a nurturing space for Joy, ensuring she thrives in every aspect of her life. In her bedroom, we'll provide a comfortable sitting/sleeping area for caregivers, along with a communication board for seamless interactions. Relocating medical supplies will give the room a warm ambiance, complemented by replacing the existing carpet with LVP flooring and potentially installing a lift system for added accessibility. Joy's bathroom will undergo renovations to accommodate her growing needs with an accessible shower. We'll revamp her walk-in closet with an organizational solution tailored to her medical supplies and caregiving essentials. Additionally, we're working on solutions to seamlessly integrate Joy into family activities, such as creating accessibility in the kitchen and living room. Outside, we'll ensure Joy can enjoy the fresh air with a shade solution for the deck. And as we enhance Joy's space, we won't forget her siblings, ensuring they too have rooms that reflect their personalities and needs.
