In the Fall of 2016 I arrived in San Marcos, Texas and began my journey as a freshman student at Texas State University. My time at Texas State was well spent and I graduated in the Spring of 2021 with my degree. During my time at Texas State, God blessed me with a strong Christian community by joining the Student ministry of CRU (formally Campus Crusade for Christ). By God’s grace he used Christian men on Staff and involved with CRU in my life to teach, disciple, and challenge me in my faith. I know with certainty that God has called me into full-time ministry at Texas State to reach college men with the hope and truth of the Gospel.

I will be getting this exact opportunity to teach, disciple and challenge the men at Texas State with the power of the Gospel. My life was transformed by the good news of the Gospel and I personally feel a burden to reach the lost men of Texas State. “Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel.”

It is evident that there is a crisis of masculinity happening in our culture and I can no longer sit on the sideline and do nothing about it. I strongly believe that reaching students for Christ today will impact the future of our country, our families and our communities. As a man, I connect more deeply with people through an experience and so do most other men. That is what Venture is all about - connecting men through shared experiences/adventurous trips to build authentic community in order to boldly proclaim the message of the Gospel!
