Samuel and Kaitlyn on Mission

The call: Since 2017, Samuel has had a call from God to reach the youth of Africa. Samuel is from Ethiopia and has been passionate about preaching the gospel to unreached people groups, bringing youth out of dark situations, and showing them Jesus. Kaitlyn is from the United States and has always had a heart to show the love of Jesus to the unlovable and those who don’t have access to the Gospel. We met on the mission field together in 2023, married in 2024, and God aligned us to bring up the next generation in Africa for Jesus. We have said “Yes” to the call of God, being in His will to do full-time missions in Africa. 

The Mission: We currently serve at the SOS base in Kilgoris, Kenya. Samuel leads the outreach department. He trains and equips the Church and Bible school students with the tools to preach the Gospel in the streets. Samuel also teaches, preaches, and leads prayer for the Bible school and Church. Kaitlyn and Samuel both lead in the Youth Ministry. We both disciple and lead youth to Jesus and train them to lead others to Jesus. Kaitlyn also leads in the Church. She creates an atmosphere of love and welcomes those in the Church and local homes in the community. We love Africa and are blessed to be planted here and serve the best people in the world!

Rewards: The reward is that we get to see thousands of youths being transformed through the Gospel. You can also be a part of this. The reward is so beautiful, seeing people be transformed by Jesus and sent on the mission field all over Africa. It’s about a 16-year-old girl freed from witchcraft and demons. She can now smile for the first time and dream about the future. It’s the mama who was praying for her husband to be freed from alcohol. He gets set free, gives his life to Jesus, and comes home to be reunited with his wife, never touching alcohol again. It’s for that ONE person.

 Becoming a partner: You are a vital part of what makes ministry happen here in Africa. Your fervent prayers, encouragement, and sacrificial giving drive the ministry forward. We can’t do what God has called us to do without you.

Based in Buford, Georgia, SOS Adventure is a Christian organization that mobilizes people for a short-term mission experience that allows them to help transform cities with the love of Jesus and the proclamation of the Gospel.

The short-term teams serve evangelistic roles supporting kids and street ministry efforts, compassion ministry, and mega festivals. SOS Adventure festivals draw tens of thousands over five days, with thousands professing faith in Jesus. Teams combine local church volunteers with missionaries from the US and Europe. All return home changed and energized to make a difference in their community and world.
