California currently bears 30% of the nation's homelessness burden. Faced with this disheartening statistic, we have a choice – to succumb to anger and point fingers or actively contribute to the solution.

Recognizing that housing alone cannot resolve this crisis, Salt + Light assumes a distinctive role in bringing enduring change to the homelessness landscape in the Central Valley. We understand that the healing process for our neighbors demands a high touch approach with an extraordinary level of care, assistance, and love.

Over the last four years, we have meticulously built a foundation of trust among our neighbors. Our approach is characterized by the lowest barriers to receiving a hot meal, love, and acceptance.

We do not aim to impose solutions, fix problems, or assume we have all the answers. Our primary goal is to love every person consistently, believing that through this approach, individuals will start to discover the healing they have longed for.
