Jobs & Skills
Why Jobs & Skills?
In low-income countries, many jobs continue to be irregular or informal, which makes it difficult to have consistent income and safe working conditions. While gains have been made for equal treatment in employment, women still are at a disadvantage when it comes to equal pay and employment rates. Additionally, a high percentage of youth are neither in school nor employed. Supporting projects that invest in job training and ethical employment opportunities, especially for vulnerable populations, has a wide-scale impact on both families and economies.

- Over 23% of the world’s youth are not in education, employment, or training.
- In regions such as Western Asia & Northern Africa, the female unemployment rate is over 8% higher than the male unemployment rate.
