Support Jayson Gee, Nations of Coaches Character Coach
Jayson Gee serves as the Character Coach for the Kansas State University men’s basketball program. With a passion for impacting the lives of coaches and players, he brings over 35 years of experience as both a head and assistant coach at the collegiate level. His coaching career includes recent positions at Coastal Carolina, Western Carolina, the University of Cincinnati, and Winthrop University. He also served as head coach at Longwood University and the University of Charleston (W.Va.).
Jayson is the author of The Battle for Brandon, a powerful and inspiring account of his family’s journey as they supported their son Brandon through his battle with childhood-onset paranoid schizophrenia. The book was later adapted into a documentary in collaboration with media veteran Chad Bonham.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education from the University of Charleston in 1988 and a Master of Science in Sport Science and Administration from Ohio University in 2003.
Jayson and his wife, Lynette, have four children: sons Terrence, Brandon, and Bryan, and daughter Briana.
