Support Grayson Wakefield
In 2019, Grayson began his time with Nations of Coaches as an intern. With his passion to combine both sports and ministry, it became evident that God was leading him to work more permanently with Nations of Coaches. Starting full-time in 2020, Grayson has been working closely with Character Coaches, NOC's "boots on the ground," as the Character Coach Coordinator.
As the full-time Character Coach Coordinator, Grayson focuses on equipping and overseeing Character Coaches across the country. This work allows him to invest in men and women who serve college basketball programs and help advance God’s Kingdom through the game of basketball.
In addition to serving NOC in this national role, Grayson has recently been offered the opportunity to become a Character Coach. He and his family will be planting deeper roots by serving the Baylor University Men’s Basketball Team. As the team’s Character Coach Associate, Grayson will be building relationships with players, coaches, and staff, walking alongside them through life’s pressures, and pointing them toward Jesus. He is excited to be learning from the longest tenured NOC Character Coach, Scott Brewer.
Grayson's wife, Bailey, will also be actively partnering in the ministry at Baylor—connecting with players, coaches’ wives, and families. Her encouragement and heart for people will be vital in helping to create a strong, gospel-centered presence on and off the court.
Your partnership allows the Wakefields to invest their time, presence, and energy into the lives of student-athletes, coaches, and their families—pointing them to the hope of Christ and walking with them through one of the most formative seasons of their lives.
Grayson and Bailey married in 2020, and they have a son, Turner, and a daughter, Maddyn. They are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity and excited for what God is doing through Nations of Coaches and thankful to be such a small part!
