Bershuan Thompson serves as the Character Coach for the East Carolina University men's basketball program. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he was a two-time captain for the 49ers men's basketball team during his collegiate career. He completed his graduate degree at East Carolina University in Adult Education.

He brings 20 years of experience in sports & ministry to his role. His background includes serving as a College Ministry Leader at Victory Christian Center, Youth Pastor at the Word of Life Christian Center, and he was officially ordained while serving as a Campus Pastor at Wave Church .

Throughout his career, Bershuan has provided chaplain services to numerous athletic programs, including Wake Forest University baseball, Winston-Salem State University football, and several middle and high schools across the Triad area of North Carolina.

Bershuan is married to Kay, and they have one son, Kay-Jay.
