Thousands of elderly Holocaust survivors are struggling with loneliness in silence having no one to turn to or check in on them to make sure they were alright.
In response, the ICEJ has sponsored a national emergency call center which operates 24 hours around the clock on weekdays, and is manned by staff and community volunteers from across Israeli society. The call center is actively reaching out to scores of Holocaust survivors every day to inquire about their condition and needs, and then work to immediately assist them. A fleet of scooters can be deployed nationwide which allows fast response to those in urgent need of help.
Your gift to the National Emergency Call Center for Holocaust Survivors will meet their needs in the following ways:
-
Rapid response to emergency needs
-
Medical and rehabilitation equipment, oxygen generators, prescribed medications, hot meals, and groceries
-
A free Medical Alert watch for every Holocaust Survivor in Israel
-
Regular calls to Survivors to check in and let them know someone cares
Help us meet the needs of Survivors by supporting this crucial call center
