Many new Olim (Jewish immigrants) come to Israel from very different backgrounds that can make assimilation difficult. Without basic help to just make ends meet or adjust to the language, culture, and education, they battle to really plant themselves in the land and reap the benefits for their families.
Through the ministry of the ICEJ, you can partner in helping new immigrants as they come to Israel. Through the ICEJ's Immigrant Assistance Fund, you can assist new families for 1 year to help them get completely settled in Israel.
When you decide to partner with new immigrant families in Israel, your support will provide:
-
Basic needs - food and household items
- Employment - assistance in finding work
- Hebrew skills - tutoring and language classes
- Child development - additional care to help them adjust to a new school system and extra-curricular activities
- Mentoring - matching up trained mentors to a Jewish family to help them acclimatize to life in Israel
The cost for one family if $5,000 a year
