Greetings,

As an alumnae and recent college graduate, I would love to embark on this experience and help with the groundwork of Her Journey Home. From being a part of the film production team to helping the girls in the program find their visual voice through their own personal documentaries.

I attended Full Sail University, where I graduated in 2025 with my Bachelor’s of Science in Film Production. I have a true passion for visual storytelling, and I love helping others find their visual creativity. Being a part of this project feels right in every way.

During college, I was on an accelerated learning track that allowed me to gain my degree in less than 29 months, which meant I had to forfeit the idea of any study abroad opportunities. This opportunity feels like the study abroad experience I’ve always wanted to embark on. 

Although I’ll be going on this trip as staff, it will also be my first time experiencing life in Ghana. As a filmmaker, I’ll be able to connect with the girls in a special way because I was in their shoes just a few years ago. That shared experience will allow me to help tell their stories authentically, through their own lens.

Being part of Girls For A Change’s award-winning documentary Daughters was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Meeting the girls in the film and catching a glimpse of their lives and personalities gave me an outlook and insight that I never had before, and believe it or not, they inspired me in more ways than one. I know Her Journey Home will have a similar, if not even greater, impact.

I know firsthand, from traveling with GFAC, how much this kind of experience can aid in their self-discovery journey, just as it once did for me.
