What is CBI Media?

CBI Media, a ministry of Christ Bible Institute (CBI), creates, translates, and distributes a variety of resources designed to equip Japanese Christians to engage in gospel ministry and live faithfully in their daily Christian lives.

On the CBI Media website you will find a variety of Christian counseling and theology articles translated from English into Japanese as well as bilingual videos from CBI-hosted events.

The CBI Media website also promotes books published by CBI Press. CBI Press began in 2015 with the publication of the Japanese translation of John Piper’s The Supremacy of God in Preaching. Over the next several years, CBI Press translated and published several more books including Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hands by Paul Tripp and Caring for One Another by Ed Welch. In 2023, CBI Press became part of 一般社団法人 CBI (Ippan Shadan Hōjin CBI), a new general non-profit corporation, established to explore new ministry possibilities.

Since launching the website, CBI Media continues to distribute translated content and original content such as the video interview series with author Richard Brash, explaining the main points of his book, Knowing Me, Knowing God and A Gap in our Gospel, a bilingual video message from Paul Tripp.

CBI Friends is playing its part in the story God is writing in Japan. We have been a part of this story since 2003, when we were established as a U.S.-based non-profit organization with a purpose of advocating for CBI and, as of 2023, for 一般社団法人 CBI. We advocate by praying, connecting, raising resources, and empowering others as senders.
