Community of Christ's Disciples - Supporting PaTi: C.A.R.E. Project, Philippines

The PaTi: C.A.R.E. project in Capiz province, Philippines, aims to combat forest denudation and flooding through reforestation, environmental protection, and disaster preparedness. Deforestation, mainly from converting highlands into cash crop plantations, has increased flooding, affecting lives and agriculture. The project will mobilize churches for tree planting, establish demonstration farms for sustainable practices, and encourage families to grow fruit trees to support sustainability. Disaster Risk Reduction Management Centers will also be created to aid families during calamities. A total of 50 churches and 230 participants will engage in the initiative, with varying participants from different church circuits.
